Project Brief
Achieving the goal of a meaningful recycling movement, the Interactive Glass Recycling Bin makes smart use of the texture and reflectivity of glass, creating a two-way interaction between people and glass recycling. Based on the concepts of Glass Recycling and Regeneration, the design encourages deeper public participation and increases the recycling rate of glass bottles. Light passing through the collected bottles changes as they accumulate, turning the bin into a public art installation within the city scene. Commissioned by Spring Pool Glass, Taiwan. Winner of the iF Design Talent Award 2021 and Gold Prize at the YODEX Designer Venture Challenge, featured on Yanko Design.
