Project Brief
'The Dots II' emerges as a living membrane, a spatial intervention that dissolves the boundary between observer and observed. Harnessing the physics of polarisation, the installation choreographs light into a silent and dynamic experience. As viewers engage through a filtered lens, twenty-one mechanised panels rotate in a rhythmic, serialised succession. This precise movement generates interference patterns that manifest as a wave—a kinetic tide mirroring the ebb and flow of human activity. Within this field, transparency is no longer a fixed state, but a transient dialogue of alignment. The work serves as a haunting metaphor for the fluidity of contemporary life, suggesting that our perception of a "solid" reality is merely a fleeting byproduct of our perspective.
