The Dots × RIMOWA

The Dots × RIMOWA is an interactive kinetic installation commissioned by RIMOWA's creative department in Paris for their international artist collaboration programme. Extending the polarised-film mechanism of 'The Dots' series, it engages RIMOWA's signature aluminium suitcase and reframes it as a moving video artwork: motorised panels shift in transparency as visitors approach, dissolving and revealing the object in a field of light and motion. Polarised film, sensors, servos, microcontroller and steel; 80 × 150 × 30 cm.
